Signals

A signal is a public post on X that matches your product and might be a buyer.

How posts are found

Every hour StealGuy searches X for your keywords. A keyword matches when the exact phrase appears in the post, ignoring upper and lower case. One post is stored once per product, however many keywords it matches.

How posts are scored

An AI model reads each post against your product profile and rates five things from 0 to 100: buying intent, fit with your product, freshness, competition and visibility. The total score is calculated in code from those ratings.

  • HOT — 70 or more, a clear need, a good fit and a recent post. Gets a draft reply automatically.
  • WARM — 40 to 69. You can ask for a draft.
  • LOW — below 40. Kept for the record.

Posts by sellers promoting their own product, guides, and job posts are marked LOW even when they match a keyword. Each signal also gets a verdict — Reply, Careful or Skip — with one sentence on why.

Signal types

Unhappy with a competitor. Someone looking for an alternative, cancelling, or complaining about a tool you compete with.
Comparing options. Someone weighing tools against each other.
Asking for a tool. Someone asking for a recommendation for a tool like yours.
Describes a problem. Someone describing the problem you solve, without asking for a tool yet.

Drafts

Every HOT signal gets a short public reply in your brand voice that names your product once. Draft DM writes a private first message to the author, which says up front that you work on the product. StealGuy does not send anything for you today: you copy the draft and send it from your own account.
